Party Foul? Washington Considering Beer Tax

You may want to consider using smaller plastic cups for your beer pong game if you are from Washington. According to the Associated Press, Washington lawmakers are considering a tax increase on mass-market beer. As proposed, mass-market beer would cost an additional 50 cents per gallon (which is about 43 cents per six pack). However, the tax would not apply to microbrews, which have a large following in Washington. According to lawmakers, the tax is expected to raise $58 million.
